Lynn Appel

Executive Director

Lynn Appel began her career in advertising in 1985 when she worked in New York as a fashion stylist with clients such as Macys, Bloomingdales and more. She shot with photography legends such as Albert Watson, Arthur Elgort, Bert Stern and many others. Later, she produced fashion videos for Conde Nast as well as high-end designers including Perry Ellis and Armani. In 1991 she took a staff position producing TV commercials and digital content at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising NYC, where she worked for 23 years, rising to VP Executive Producer. She produced spots for major accounts there such as P&G, McNeil, Kraft, and on prestigious brands like Olay, Tide, Trident and many more. She left the company in 2014 and began working as a freelance director/writer/producer on videos for clients including Stearns and Foster, Carters Kids Clothes and others. She joined Bombastic as an Executive Director to oversee all client relations, as well as work towards developing a streamlined video production unit within the company.

Lauri Aloi

Lauri Aloi began her career as a journalist writing for consumer publications such as Detour and Syracuse Herald-Journal and trades such as The Licensing Book and SHOOT, then segued into talent management. She was a music producer and rep before graduating to representing commercial directors. She worked with top production company Partizan, and for a long stretch was a household name at Hungry Man where she was Executive Producer/Head of Sales for the Palme d'Or-winning company. In 2008 she shifted gears, parlaying her experience in journalism, production and talent management into working as a Publicist/Consultant for companies in advertising, production, entertainment and tech. Lauri has worked with a wide array of A-listers including Anonymous Content, O Positive Films, The Mill, Trailer Park, RSA’s Little Minx, Search Party Music and many more. 

Richard Linnett

A longtime marketing reporter and editor at Adweek and Advertising Age, Richard moved to the agency side in 2004, co-founding Havas’ branded entertainment practice MPG Entertainment where he developed product placement, content creation and publicity for Reckitt Benckiser, Volvo, Danone, Ocean Spray, Volkswagen, Outback Steakhouse and other Havas clients. Later he joined Omnicom’s Fathom Communications, developing content for LG Mobile and Navistar, and more. Before Bombastic he was the Chief Proselytizer at Double E Communications leading communications for top independent advertising agencies including Mistress, MUH-TAY-ZIK|HOF-FER, Wexley School for Girls, Fake Love, Standard Time and the media planning and buying agency Crossmedia. His column Hollywired, covering the convergence of entertainment and advertising appears whenever in Mediapost.
